Road to Sithonia | Agios Mamas

Sithonia is the middle peninsula of Halkidiki in Northern Greece.


It lies west of Mount Athos and east of Kassandra in the district of Macedonia. Sithonia is accessible easily by car from Thessaloniki. In Sithonia are many beautiful beaches and the nature seams untouched and is very green. The whole peninsula is covered with pine forests, olive groves and vineyards.The beaches are exceptional with unique seaviews ,blue aegean and clean waters to enjoy your day drinking your coffee or drink on the sand under the sun!

 

Road to Sithonia you pass through Agios Mamas a famous place for the festivals and really nice meat you can taste!Among the most famous feasts in Halkidiki is the feast of Agios Mamas. It is organised by the locals every first week of September where thousands of people come to the village in order to participate in the event. The feast of Agios Mamas is being characterised for its strong commercial and cultural interest. It is estimated that every September come to Agios Mamas more than 1000 exhibitors and over 200000 visitors.

 

28 km from Nea Kallikrateia and 68.9 its nice trip to enjoy the festivals there!


The beach is a long coast free to relax wherever you want! Take your umbrella , because there are no beach bar solutions . If you want to go and chill with the family and relax you can visit this beach for a stop before visit the Sithonia!
