Thursday, 30 April 2020 17:55

Yesterday, April 29, the Greek government announced an official loosening of quarantine measures for citizens, as well as for certain institutions and high schools. Starting May 4, boutiques, flower shops, bookstores, hair salons and aesthetic centers (by appointment only), markets will start operating. Other retail outlets will continue to open on May 11, and archeological sites, zoos and botanical gardens will continue from May 15. Further on, on June 1st, shopping malls, cafes and restaurants will be opened, but only for outdoor service / gardens, and of course, subject to certain health and preventative measures. Hotels and summer cinemas should also be opened during June.

There are still no precise dates for opening borders and international flights, as well as how foreign nationals would be controlled.
